Don’t Tell Me What I Cant’t Do!
This workshop is designed to empower single parents. In the media we hear so much negative information about single parenting. Single Parenting is not a terminal illness! On the contrary, single parents have done some incredible stuff! Many have had awesome results. Our goal is encourage you in this life changing work. We will look at what we ‘can do’ and put a positive spin on the parenting process.
Theme

Children that Excel - Confidence with Self Esteem
This workshop will look at what makes our children tick and how we can deliberately use that to our advantage as parents. Building confidence is a very intentional active part of parenting. We will offer suggestions about how it’s done.
Theme:
And we have confidence in the Lord about you, that you are doing and will do the things that we command. 2 Thessalonians 3:4 ESV
The workshop will be approximately 3 hrs long.

Angry Parents Produce Angry Children
This workshop will help us identify “triggers”, those things that make us angry so we can move on to more productive parenting. Intentionally letting go so we can show and teach our children to do the same. Knowledge is power! To be forewarned about anger is to be forearmed.

An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression. Proverbs 29:22 KJV
The workshop will be approximately 3 hrs long.

You Can Be A Good Parent
God makes no mistakes! He in his infinite wisdom knew exactly who would be the best parent for your child. YOU. So much goes into the reasons why. Let us discuss this. Can we believe this and rise to the challenge placed before us? Parenting is not for the faint of heart. This workshop will help you understand the honor that is yours as a parent. An opportunity to change the world!

We are privileged to have Pamela Hester as a member of our team. Pamela Jeanne Hester is an educator, behavior specialist and family counselor with 30 years of experience working with children and their families. Pamela began her career teaching children with behavior disorders and was promoted in 1992 to a city – wide administrative position with the Chicago Board of Education.
Pamela has worked for Atlanta Public Schools and Chicago Board of Education as a behavior specialist for children who have been diagnosed with autism and oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) and has developed behavior and educational programs that were implemented in various settings.
She received her Bachelor of Science in education from Loyola University of Chicago and a Master of Art in Psychology from National Louis University in Chicago. In March 2013, Pamela was honored by the Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology for superior academic achievement.
Currently, Pamela is a License in Professional Counselor who works with trouble youth and their families. Pamela currently is a member of the SCRA (The Society for Community Research and Action) and the International division of the APA (American Psychology Association).
